2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use TradeQuote:
- Account information — your email address when you sign up.
- Business profile — your business name, trade type, hourly rate, address, phone number, and custom price list that you choose to add.
- Customer data — names, email addresses, phone numbers, and addresses of your customers that you enter into the app.
- Quotes and invoices — the content of quotes and invoices you create, including line items, totals, and notes.
- Billing information — your subscription plan and payment status. We do not store your credit card details directly — these are handled by Stripe.
- Usage data — how many AI quotes you have generated in the current billing period.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the TradeQuote service.
- To generate AI-powered quotes using the job description and trade you provide.
- To manage your subscription, billing, and plan limits.
- To send transactional emails related to your account (e.g. password reset). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
- To enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party providers to operate the service:
- Supabase — database and authentication. Your data is stored in Supabase's hosted PostgreSQL database. See their privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management. Stripe stores your payment method and billing details. See their privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — AI quote generation. When you generate an AI quote, the job description you enter and your trade type are sent to Anthropic's API to generate the quote. We do not send your customer names, personal details, or contact information to Anthropic. See their privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.
- Vercel — hosting and deployment. See their privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete your personal data and all associated records (quotes, invoices, customers) within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records for legal or tax purposes.
6. Data Security
All data is stored in Supabase with row-level security enabled, meaning each user can only access their own data. All connections are encrypted in transit via HTTPS. We do not sell or share your data with any third parties except as described in Section 4.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Export your data.

8. Cookies
We use cookies solely for authentication purposes (to keep you logged in). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies.
9. Children's Privacy
TradeQuote is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the app. Continued use of TradeQuote after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
